I have to say - I devoured this book. Delta and Jonny were shown to us in the first book of this series The Long Way Home. I've been looking forward to reading their story to see what would transpire.

Johnny is a man of the sea. Do you know the song Brandy by Looking Glass? The sailor loves the barmaid named Brandy but the love of his life is the sea. Johnny's only loved the sea. Nothing has ever been captivating on land. Until he meets Delta.

Oh my gosh these two. I'm telling you. They have such a sweet story. This book is only about 15 chapters total but it's got the sweetest love story packed into this book.

I absolutely love how Delta stands by Johnny as he grieves for a family he helped pull from the wreckage of a fallen building. Just being there for him is not something most people would even do. They'd just go about their merry way.

I think their story has a lot to say about what these characters have been missing in their lives and their unknown search to complete their hearts.

There's a small part included about Ava and Christian from book one in here as well. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book to see how that situation turns out!

Anyway - definitely add Where the Heart is to your list. Delta's music may just move you in ways you'd never expect.

Jonny Nunéz is a world traveler and Christian St.Pierre´s best friend.

Both meet in the aftermath of the horrible natural disaster at the end of book one. Ava was rescued by Jonny at the last second and Christian is still missing. Both work ´til totally exhaustion, mentally and physically.

And they grow feelings for each other. But they´re on different paths in their life.

Jonny is a floater, he has no roots, no home, a vagabond.

Ava is a single mom with responsibilities and dreams of her own.

That doesn´t work together, not at all. They separate and both are really miserable.

But what to do and how to make it work?

Favorite Quote: " Some loves are fated, and can not be broken, even by death, even by the sea. "

Jasinda Wilder did it again. She wrote a heart wrenchingly and beautiful story about life, love and had me captured at page one. I read this book in one sitting, I couldn´t put it down. I didn´t wanted the book to end but I couldn´t not know what happens to the characters.

I love the story and the writing. I love the words and the characters, I could feel their emotions in the words.

This story has it all—tension, angst, suspense and heartbreak. I´ve smiled, laughed, cried and was angry at some point. It is not often I feel so connected to the characters, but Jasinda Wilder has accomplished just that.

And now I really, truly can´t wait to read the next installment in the series. Jasinda Wilder has me hooked on this series and I love it.

I Highly, Highly recommend the book and the series, this is a Must read !!! and wish I could give more than 5 Stars. Thank you so much, Jasinda Wilder !!

Okay so, at the end of The Long Way Home I was left feeling all frustrated and cliff hangered by the way it ended. I thought all of those feelings were going to be soothed when I opened this book. They were, but not in the way I assumed. Confused? That’s because this is Delta and Jonny’s story.

Delta is Ava’s sister and is helping in the after care of sister after a hurricane struck her sister’s home, nearly killing her. Jonny, Christian’s best friend, is also there, fulfilling a promise he made to Christian and helping the wider community in the recovery and big clean up effort.

Once Ava is settled in a hospital, getting the treatment she needs, Delta and Jonny are left to their own devices, waiting for her health to improve. By day, Jonny is helping in the search for survivors and recovering bodies. By night, they are camping out on the beach and during this time they spend a lot of time together, getting to know each other.

Delta has been a single mum for a long time but many years ago she had dreams of being a country music singer. These got pushed aside when she realised she would be raising her child alone. Too many years have gone by now for that to dream to ever come to fruition.

There is an undeniable attraction between them and the trauma they dealing with each day leaves them both feeling quite emotional so it is inevitable that they find solace in each other’s bodies. Most evenings are spent enjoying a few camp fire sing alongs with a group of other like minded people who play different instruments, who knew that this moment in time would change Delta’s life.

Delta and Jonny definitely have a pretty amazing connection but they are at different places in their lives. He is a sailor and loves being on the ocean, it’s in his blood and he feels most at peace at sea. It won’t be long until the pull of the waves take him back to what he loves but will he be leaving a little piece of his heart behind? Will the physical distance between them be too much to bear?

There is so much more to this story that I haven’t even touched on. There is still a bit of Christian & Ava weaved through this story too and the promise of what is to come in the next book is enough to keep my impatience at bay because OMG it is going to be good!

Where The Heart Is a love story best described as a lovers lullaby. An emotional and poetic connection between a dreamer and a vagabond.

Delta Martin and Jonny Nuñez are first introduced in

as Ava's sister and Christian best friend. They come together when a natural disaster hits Florida and they work as team to help save a city. But as they help, they see in one another something they had once lost. Something they thought it was unobtainable... Love.

To be honest, I spent the entirety of this book waiting to find out about the status of Christian, our hero from the first book.

I had a hard time caring about Ava’s sister Delta Martin as she is the heroine of this book and Christian’s friend Jonny is the hero. Delta is a single mom who’s music career takes off in this book and sailor Jonny gives up the sea for a future with her and her son. Here’s hoping that book 3 comes out soon so I can get back with the couple that I fell for in book 1!

This is going to be short.

It's not a secret that I avoid insta-love stories like the plague. I have convincing issues and so it's not my trope.

was basically an insta-love tale, yet it didn't feel like a insta-love tale. Not for a single moment did the lack of realism come to my mind whilst reading it. I was totally engrossed in Delta and Jonny's story and most importantly, convinced that they were made for each other. Jasinda Wilder has a way with the words.

The last 20% of the story was so unexpected! For a moment I got to think where the hell is it going? and wow! talk about talented and creative minds. It was beatiful and stunning and gave me goose bumps.

I've read so many of her books. By now I know that she is almost a safe bet. What she writes touches my heart and as many of her other stories, this one got me tearful a few times.

If you are a fan of Jasinda, don't miss this one out!

I wasn't sure what to expect from this second installment of

series. I was left hanging, worrying, and hoping at the end of book one. I started this book without having seen the synopsis, so I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it focused mainly on Johnny & Delta. I had met these two previously, and I knew just enough to be very intrigued, wanting more.

I started this book without having seen the synopsis, so I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it focused mainly on Johnny & Delta. I had met these two previously, and I knew just enough to be very intrigued, wanting more.

Book one is about Ava & Christian. Ava's sister is Delta, and Christian's best friend is Johnny. They are brought together by those relationships, but once they meet, there's no turning back. They are drawn to each other. But they are both aware that their past and their lifestyles prove that they aren't meant to stay together. He's married to the sea, and she's got a son to care for. So, they settle for

and it's the best either has ever experienced.

When Johnny walks away from her, after their very brief but intense time together, Delta finally understands what all those country music lyrics mean. She's been writing songs most of her life, but they were usually about drinking and sexy cowboys and one-night-stands. She's never actually had a relationship, so she's never written about love before. It doesn't seem possible that her feelings for Jonny could be that strong,

Jonny left Delta to return to the sea, his first love. However; the comfort she usually brings him is missing. He can't stop thinking about Delta and their time together. And then he hears her voice singing on the radio, her soulful voice sharing their secrets, and her words telling him she hasn't forgotten either. He knows she's singing to him. He knows he has to find her.

I can't tell you how thrilled I was to find out that this story has a music theme. That's one of my weaknesses. I just can't resist stories that include beautiful song lyrics and music industry details. I devoured every single word with my heart in my hands, turning each page with bated breath, hoping for the ending I was savoring in my imagination. Hoping that the author that created the story felt the same and would give me my heart's desire.

While Chris & Ava are part of this book, they are in a supporting role. Their love story is not finished. The mind-bending events that exploded just as they were on the verge of confronting each other prevented them from doing so. How am I expect to survive the wait to find out the outcome? I'm even more attached to these amazing characters and totally invested in their future, which I hope is as beautiful as they deserve. I can't wait. The line forms here...

I'll leave you with a few words from this beautiful letter written by Christian to his Ava.

i'm so excited to this story because i knew it was the continuation of Christian and Ava's story, yes it was the continuation but focus on Jonny and Delta. it was still good. and I want to listen to the songs.

Jacinda Wilder has done it again. How she manages to write these amazing love stories. That suck you in, but they never fail to leave you feeling completely sated. You instantly fall in love with characters that you really feel connected to. This is the kind of book where something so devastating happens it takes a special someone to pull you through the hard stuff to bring you out the other side.

Although this book isn't the one I was expecting to come next. I really wanted more of Ava and Christian but we got Delta and Jonny and I am more than happy with that. All good things come to those who wait. I laughed, cried, got super angry. I had all the emotions that you expect from a wonderful from the heart story.

Again I recommend this author. She seems to do no wrong (well part from keep me waiting lol). Whatever she puts her mind, pen and paper too. Just seems to be infectious and a great read.

Love Delta and Jonny. This is a good love story and the book works as a standalone. Disappointed that we didn't get Ava and Christian's conclusion and, now have another Ava and Christian cliffhanger to add to the first Ava and Christian cliffhanger. Oh well!
