Again a breath of fresh air from the world and its politics with this inclusive art compendium. Seriously the work in these projects blows my mind! Is Paul Sullivan's The Book of Life 2 poster true, or is it a pseudo teaser?! The more I look at Robina Cai's art the more I see my own gestural line work. Scott Gustafson's dogs are hilarious in his rendition of "The Emperor's New Clothes". I saw nods to Omar Rayyan's "Goblin Market" and Frank Who's Mae, Volume One. Both are currently on my bookshel

I saw some artists as well I was more recently introdu ed to like Sean Andrew Murray (Kickstarter going on currently!) and Melissa Ebbe (A favorite from SYFY's Face Off!) Quite a few I'll have to explore more!

Dragons, tigers and fae, oh my!

Another excellent collection of art, although no single piece blew me away this year. As my opening line said, there are a ton of dragons in this year's selection, probably more of them than any other category of critter. Also tigers, because 2016 was the year of Disney's The Jungle Book, and there were a couple other tigers (as well as one tigerman) scattered throughout. Quite a few fairies, mermaids, dinosaurs and a scattering of polar bears. Probably the second-

Quite a few fairies, mermaids, dinosaurs and a scattering of polar bears. Probably the second-most common category represented was demons. Lots of demons.

Mostly Fantasy works again, but there are a few from the SF side. A few robots, a couple crashed spaceships, and some environmental pieces.

You can't go wrong with these books because the art is always top-notch, but if you have a particular fondness for dragons, there are plenty of them here.
