A great volume with a bit of everything. Picking up where we left off, a large portion of the volume is devoted to the issues between King and Ban with King's dead sister. Not everyone comes out unscathed and we've had some revelations that bring the side working against the king clearer to our understanding. Not everyone comes out unscathed and we've had some revelations that bring the side working against the king clearer to our understanding. Elizabeth's sister enters the picture and we learn all is not right with the Holy Knights. Apprentices are becoming amazingly strong, fast, and others are disappearing. The volume ends on a delicious cliffhanger, then goes on to give us a bonus story of Ban's background with Elaine. PS, Diane the giant is my favourite character. Good stuff!

Not a single one of the Seven Deadly Sins seem to be what they stand for. Meliodas never gets angry, even though he is the Sin of Wrath. Diane is willing to do anything for her friends, despite her Sin of Envy. Ban leads everyone to believe that he is the most greedy of them all, yet he was willing to trade his life for the woman he loved. And King, the Sin of Sloth, is the only one who seems to actually have his sights set on their goal.

Ban leads everyone to believe that he is the most greedy of them all, yet he was willing to trade his life for the woman he loved. And King, the Sin of Sloth, is the only one who seems to actually have his sights set on their goal.

This installment of THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS is not very progressive in terms of the story. They basically just fight Guila the entire time, yet there is an underlying theme of the past of both Ban and King. They both seem to have a deep connection with Eliane. That being said, I am ready for them to go and find the next Sin on their list. Each of the characters are so diverse and developed that I am sitting on the edge of my seat, anxious to see who will appear next, and what their quirks will be.

At first, Ban was simply there, just another one of the sins, but then his backstory came into the picture. He is so kind hearted and selfless, and his story with Eliane brought me nearly to tears. It fit right in at the end of this story.

I just adore this. The characters are beautiful and the action just makes my heart swell with anticipation. A truly magnificent read.

The action continues from the previous volume as our heroes fight the newest Holy Knight to enter the scene, Guila. The action in the beginning of volume four is rather…explosive, sorry I couldn’t help myself! And while Diane and Meliodas fight Gila, the conflict between Ban and King wraps up and some shocking new developments in their characters are revealed. A softer side to Ban is exposed, adding more depth to the Sin of Greed, especially with the bonus chapter at the end. Readers also get to

Readers also get to see King in action, learning where the bulk of his strength comes from and the relationship he has to everyone.

After their adventure in the Capital of the Dead, more characters are introduced, adding more diversity to our lie-up and creating conflict for our main heroine. It was really interesting to see a little bit more into the relationship between Meliodas and Elizabeth. Before this volume, their relationship was a little flat. You could see that Elizabeth really respects Meliodas and that she may be developing feelings for him. However, it’s harder to read Meliodas because his personality is usually so calm except for his bouts of perverted activity, which appears to be more joking than anything. In this volume, though, you start to see how much Elizabeth means to Meliodas, but you don’t quite realize why yet, and I find that to be an interesting development for his character.

This volume was a lot of fun! The action was different and fun to follow. I loved seeing more into Ban’s character and how he got his ‘sin’. King is a lovely addition to the team and I can’t wait to see more of his and Diane’s relationship! And the story is unfolding at a rather nice pace as well, though I could do without some of these cliffhangers and have more back story for our Sins!

Oh my, this is getting addicting. I love the Ban story and am not sure what to think about King besides that his character is so cute. At this point, I recommend this series for anyone over the age of 13 who love adventure comics.

*I was reading this series because of inertia; but finally I loved this volume.

    The good:

-The mix between third character narration/fight scene is very dynamic and well done.

    -Ban story.

    -The becoming of King.

-All the teases to the Seven deadly sin's sacred teasures.

-Nakaba rises the right questions in this volume, many mysteries for this series to explore.

    -Very emotional.

-The "One day" chapter is heartbreaking.

-Mixing Elaine to the Ban/King rivalry was a great idea.

-All the teases to the real iden

En el animé la historia de Ban se entreteje en la misma continuidad, aquí es una historia complementaria a lo que ocurre a los Pecados cuando entran al país de la muerte. Me encantó que se explica mejor la participación de los niños y que Meliodas sea tan aprovechado.
